Blackberry China Phone Wifi Configuration

This is the tutorial i made for configuration of your Blackberry wifi enabled china phone:




First is if you have to install an OPERA MINI Browser you can download here for the latest Opera mini browser http://www.opera.com/mini/download/ mine currently has V4.2 , they got V5 but its currently beta version so i just installed the V4.2,


Second, is go to Service in your Blackberry china phones then you'll find SIM1, SIM2, WAP and Data Account.



Choose WAP options.



From the choices you'll find : Homepage, Bookmarks, recent pages, etc.


Select Settings.


Under Settings menu, select SIM1 or SIM2. I prefer SIM1 because its the default browser profile for me.


Under SIM1/SIM2, browse the WIFI (mine was located below and it is the last one)or, if you can't find it Choose Add New.


On the Add New fill the following:


Profile name: WIFI

Homepage: Http:// (try any website you like as homepage)

Data Account: Wireless LAN

Connection Type: Either Http or Wap, but i prefer HTTP because we are using Opera browser.

Username and password: Just leave this all blank.

then chose Done and save.


Now, go to a wifi hotspot like starbucks cafe, and scan for available connections, try to ask the technician if your phone asks for a WEP key, then connect. After successful connection, you can browse the internet using your wifi Enabled china phone much like an original blackberry phone.
